dear mason

tonight after we said prayers, and i tucked you in, and you asked for yet one more hug and kiss (i had already given you at least 20) i crept back into your room after you fell asleep and gave you one more hug and kiss. i thanked God for what a blessing you are. i felt really proud to be your mama. and i felt sad at how fast you are growing. you are such a funny, caring, smart and handsome little boy and i hope you know just how much i adore you. i love you to the moon my little love bug.

summer is flying by. we have been seriously blessed with the most amazing weather- 80's and 90's?! yes please! here's some snaps according to my i phone...

i would say our summer is definitely off to a good start!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY MASON!

Wow where did the time go?!! 6 years old! I remember the day Mase was born like it was yesterday. To say that it has been an absolute blessing to be his mama is an understatement. Mase, you are the most energetic, loving, funny, smart, inquisitive, busy little boy and mommy and daddy couldn't be more proud of you!! Love you my little love bug and can't wait for another year filled with adventures!

favorite things as of late:

• riding your bike (without training wheels!! woop woop!)
• skylanders 
• pokemon
• legos
• reading- you are getting so good at sounding out words and reading!! still working on spelling :)
• you love to help me cook anything- you are especially good at making smoothies
• baseball- just started t-ball practices and you are loving it!
• exercising- you are a great little motivator and even like to remind us to eat healthy!
• singing- i am in awe of how quickly you memorize songs
• board games & card games- you are learning to play chess and daddy taught you how to play the card game speed- you rock at that game!
• playing 4 square at recess with "the big boys"

crazy year

I have been a really terrible blogger- part of my new years resolution was to get back on the blog train and I've done a crap hole job at it. So here's a run down on our happs:

• Mason is doing amazing in school- had a little bit of a rough start with behavior but he has really gotten in the swing of things- doing amazing at spelling, math, being respectful and learning all about God's love. I am really happy with the choice of a private catholic school. SO proud of him
• Mason starts t-ball this spring- first organized sport
• although we have only been up twice Mason is kicking boot-ey at skiing. We started him last year and he hasn't had any formal lessons- hate to brag but I really feel that this kid is a natural
• Holidays were wonderful- Christmas went by in a blur and this year we spent Christmas ever at my condo (we usually go to my aunt pucci and uncle jimmy's but my poor uncle had back surgery) it was a blast and Christmas day we spent at Mason's cousin's the Belfiore's. What a great holiday!

I am sure I'm missing out on a ton of stuff but that's the low down for now.... pics to come soon

1st Day of Kindergarten

I can't believe the time has come... Mason started his first day of kindergarten today at St. Pats Catholic school. This week will be half days and starting next week will be M-F full days. He is super excited and was totally okay when his mom and dad left him at school. And how handsome is he in his school uniform with his big man haircut? Love that kid. Happy first day Mase! Mommy and daddy are so proud of you!!!
