Last Day of Summer??

Last Wed we went to hang out at the lake with one of my besties Jill. So much fun lounging, eating, and Jill was so awesome to swim with Mase!! He is now obsessed with auntie Jill!! They say that summer weather might officially be over... so so so sad!

Summer memories...

Can't believe that summer is almost over and I'll be bogged down with school!! waaaahhhh!

Quack Quack!

Mason has officially completed his first Seattle "tourist" activity! Last Friday we rode the Ducks with our friend Adrianna and her son Esai and daughter Nava! It was crazy at first. We took the bus from our house downtown to Westlake Center. The kids were a little on the naughty side so the mamas had to make a pit stop and have a "beverage" before hand. Don't judge. Anyone else who has a 2 year old would probably do the same! Once we got on the ride all of the kids were awesome! They absolutely loved it!! Halfway through it Mr. Mase fell asleep- probably from all the tantrums and running around he did before he got on! All in all it was super fun and I'm glad we went!

PA Update....

STILL no place to live and only a few more weeks until I need to make the big move up to PA!! I have now broadened my horizons to Sequim, a town 25ish minutes away and a little bigger so hopefully this means more options. At this point Mase and I will be staying at the Days Inn when I start school. God I hope not! I mean is it too much to ask for a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, with wash/dryer, utilities included, no yard care required by me place??? All for under $700 and that isn't a hole in the wall? Just sayin.
On another note I am getting very anxious and a bit of anxiety about school and it just being Mase and myself but I can do it!! Right?? ...light at the end of the tunnel....
Mase lately too has been pitching fits and really testing mommy's patience so it should make for an interesting experience to say the least.
On a brighter note he has been doing some halarious things including the following:
  • beat boxing (that's right- learned this from Yo GabaGaba- so so funny)
  • doing something and then saying "Ta Da!"
  • Using any spoon or straw and calling it his "magi yand!" (magic wand)

I love that kid more than anything. Oh, and best of all he now when I say "I love you Mason", replies "I wuv you mommy" ah it's the little things in life

A little fun in the sun..

Mason loves playing in sand, water, sun! We've been taking him to the Madison Park beach to play in the sand as well as his buddy Sander's to play at the beach. So much fun all around! please excuse the naked boy pics but it's just not summer without a little birthday suit!

July re-cap

We have had a busy month of July!! Starting with a fun filled weekend at the Gordon's for the 4th! Complete with a wedding next door and a suprise appearance by Batman on a little motoribike (still has me laughing). Jeff and I got a night out to celebrate Scott's 40th birthday- so much fun and such good sushi! Also grandpa Craig came up for a little swimming adventure! Mason loves his grandpa!

Jeff and I also took a trip up to PA to look at daycares and apartments and I am pleased to say that we have found an awesome daycare for Mase!! Soooo releived by this!!! Not so pleased with the housing choices though which was a total bust and thus I'll keep looking... better to have a crappy place to live than a crappy daycare

We celebrated the twin's 3rd Birthday. Happy birthday Sydney & Piper (Mason's cousins)

Also Carey & Eli & Maddy are taking a 2-3 month trip up to Alaska for Eli's work so we had a very fun bbq @ grandma Carols complete with swimming of course : )

Mason is busy as usual with jumping, screaming, & time-outs. To say the least he has ABSOLUTELY hit the terrible 2's!!! Of course I still love him and think he's the greatest but I'm sure that I speak for the both of us when I say Jeff and I have both thought about putting him up for adoption. jk of course. no I'm not. For those with a 2year old please send advice!!

Some of Mason's favorite things (added to his previous favorite things list)..

  • spoons. for some reason he has to have a spoon & wants one at all times...?
  • pretending he is T-rex which includes "rarrring" at strangers
  • milky starbucks.... totally my faultsnug as a bug in a rug... which I could describe how cute this is when he says it : )
  • swimming. loves it & we have finally started getting some sun to do it!
