My best friend's wedding

Whoopsie! this actually occured in August, but hey, we've been busy! my bestie Jill married her bestie brett and the wedding and bride couldn't have been more beautiful. such an amazing day and i feel so blessed to have been a part of it!! love those 2 so much!

5 down 2 to go!!

i have been terrible at updating this blog! since sept. we have been knee deep in school. every past graduate of hygiene school has said fall quarter 2nd year was the hardest and they weren't kidding! but i have successfully passed with my highest gpa so far!! winter quarter is much needed and much deserved and will be spent actually getting to hang out with mason and also studying for national boards. so bring it on! can't believe i am almost done!!! thank you to all my family and friends who have given nothing but support to mason and i... i would never have been able to do this without you!!

We are alive!

I promise! this quarter in school has been death and it will be over in 2 weeks!! then I promise I will update this little blog...

a little teaser from jill's wedding

my first tri

as in my first triathalon! my friend's adrianna & darcy, whom i used to work with at starbucks, pitched the idea to me 2 (yes only 2!) weeks ago. so i thought sure sounds fun... & lets be honest i had a few drinks when they asked me. with only 2 weeks to train, which i spent just running & attempting the swim once along with a 3 mile bike ride we went for it! (let me just say that i had not even been on a bike since i was oh, maybe 7?). we were SO nervous the morning of the event (& i was actually sick with a stomach bug that i thought at first was just nerves). jeff & mason suprised me by showing up at 8 & playing paparzzi- which i loved! since it was our first time we just did the "sprint" which was a .3 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and 3 mile run. i did totally fine on the swim & run but SUCKED at riding the bike! i could NOT figure out the gears (oh oops i guess you are not supposed to go up hill in a hard gear- my bad). regardless it was our goal to complete the tri in under 2 hours & we all did! my final time was 1 hr 54 min! i am so proud of us and we all have the "triathalon bug" now! can't wait for more!

Cars 2

jeff and i took mason to his very first "big kid" movie.. Cars 2. he is slightly obsessed with the first Cars so we have been planning on taking him to see the second as his first trip to the movie theaters... he LOVED it. sat through the whole movie no problem. he loved the seats, the popcorn, the giant screen... was very cute!

July So Far...

So far July has not disappointed in the fun department (the weather however is a completely different story- completely dislike!). 4th of July was spent with The Belfiore's at the Yarrow Point Parade.  Mason had a blast decorating his Lightning McQueen bike and riding in the parade with his cousins Sydney, Piper, and Alexander. Even Bachan rode in the parade! (that's Jeff's grandma so Mason's great grandma). After that we stopped by the Gordon's to say hi & drop daddy off then it was back to Port Angeles just in time to see the fireworks (um from my car stopped at a red light... school put a damper on our fun).
Can't wait to really celebrate next year especially since I will be done with school!

at the start of summer quarter we did a little team building by doing some yoga and "deep thought" exercises based on the book "the 7 habits of highly effective people". can't wait to read it (no seriously i can't- nerd i know)

our happenings

well school is in full swing (hence the lack of blog updates). i am halfway through summer quarter & it's amazing how fast it's going! we are now giving local anesthetic to patients (injections!) & it is so fun!! we are also in the midst of learning nitrous oxide so we will soon be giving that to patients as well!!
of course before we get to do anything on patients... we practice on each other first!

on a good note only 1 week left of Spring Quarter then I get a whole week (which let me tell you doesn't seem like a lot of time but I can. not. wait!).  especially can't wait to spend some time with this little dude..

after my break i start school for a week then it's off to Vegas for my friend Kristal's bachlorette par-tay!  on the agenda for summer quarter is..... INJECTIONS!!! i may be wierd for saying this but i am SO excited!  (also doesn't hurt that summer quarter is only 8 wks long and will be followed by a month long break!)

McGee's Engagement Par-tay

we (les & i) threw ms soon to be ms mcgee (aka jill katie sorensen) and mr bret mcgee and engagement party at non other than the newly renovated cheney stadium. hands down such a fun evening! we were treated like royalty (thank you aaron for the vip treatment and hospitality) and the raniers played awesome! (although i am pretty sure only the guys watched the game). after the game (and many, many a beers and vino) we headed to a dive bar for a lil off tune karaoke (well i guess i was really the only one off tune). its pretty bad when jeff informs me "that was the worst version of neon moon i've ever heard" thanks sweetie, but don't you know that country is supposed to have a "whine" to it ; )  all and all such a fun night and it was great to have a grown up night with all my besties!  thank you dad and cash for watching mase for the night! he had such a fun time!

Finally some birthday pics!

I still can't believe Mason is 3! Where did my little baby go? For the record anyone that says "the terrible Two's" obviously doesn't have a 3 year old. Mase is super fun right now but super independent (which is good) which means super challenging at times.  He wants to do EVERYTHING by himself- pick out his clothes, get his own milk, brush his own teeth....
Here are a few of Mason's favorite things right now:
*he loves to sing "mymymymymy poker faaace" (Lady Gaga)
*he loves counting and can count to 10 in Spanish & is working on counting to 10 in Japanese!
*he can write his name (still working on the "S")
*he loves, loves, loves superheros
*loves riding his bike
*still sucks his fingers. we are trying REALLY hard to get him to stop doing this-anyone have any tips?
For Mason's big 3rd birthday we started off at the Puyallup Spring Fair. This was really fun because Mase was finally big enough to go on the rides! We met up with his cousins Sydney, Piper, and Alexander and MaaMaa & PaPa as well as the rest of the Belfiore's and even Bachan! Auntie Leslie and Diane also came along.  The weather was freezing but at least it didn't rain

After ther fair it was back to MaaMaa & PaPa's house for presents and cake.  MaaMaa made a sweet train cake! She has made one for all of the grandkid's 3rd birthdays. 

after the party & jeff's mom's we headed to auntie cathy and uncle jim's house for a birthday celebration with my family. my mom and dad, autie carey, uncle eli, auntie courtney, uncle cash and uncle cody, pucci and jimmy and gina were there. steph, mike and baby peyton came over too! it was such a nice party! jacob, issac and matt's kids and mason all played outside! we ate, drank, ate some more and opened presents! needless to say after this birthday mama was TIRED
